P-80 THIX IFC
P-80 THIX IFC is a biodegradable, thickened temporary assembly lubricant formulated for tight-fitting rubber and plastic components in applications where incidental food contact may occur. Its gel-like consistency stays where it is applied, making it especially useful for vertical, overhead, and other applications where a thinner lubricant could run or drip.
While wet, P-80 THIX IFC reduces friction and the force required to install components such as O-rings, seals, hoses, gaskets, grommets, bushings, grips, and other close-fitting rubber or plastic parts. Once the assembly is complete and the lubricant dries, the temporary slipperiness dissipates and the component returns to a secure condition. It can be applied manually by brush, dip, or spray, and it thins under pressure for use in suitable automated systems.
P-80 THIX IFC is NSF-registered as an H1 lubricant and meets FDA regulation 21 CFR 178.3570 for incidental food-contact lubricant applications. The manufacturer lists a typical viscosity of approximately 15,000 cps at 25°C and an estimated minimum drying time of two hours.
Available package sizes support maintenance, production, and bulk industrial use. Shipping time and availability may vary by package size.
